All of our coffee carts meet and often exceed the requirements of the Australian and New Zealand Health Standards for mobile Coffee Carts. Our customers currently have carts operating in the following states with full certification by the respective health authorities: Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. All of our carts are fully self contained. Specifically the Monaco cart includes 3 x 25 litre fresh water bottles for use by the espresso machine, 1 x 25 litre fresh water bottle for the sinks and 1 x 25 litre waste water bottle.

 

The only requirements to service the cart's water system is a fresh water tap to fill the water bottles at the start of the day and a sink, waste outlet or toilet to empty the waste water at the end of the day. Consistent with health requirements, the fresh water bottles and waste water bottles are stored in separate compartments to ensure that there is no contamination of the fresh water.

 

The delivery of the fresh water to the sinks is two-fold. The first sink is used for washing utensils and the second sink is used for hand washing. Water is delivered using foot controls mounted at the base of the cart to each of these sinks using independent water spouts at the required temperature. These temperatures are mandated by Australian health standards and it is a requirement that these temperatures be maintained at all times whilst the cart is in operation. Our systems ensure that water is delivered directly to the sinks at these pre-set temperatures at all times when power is available to the cart. Some alternative systems however employ a cut-over switch such that when the espresso machine is in use; all power is directed away from the hot water service to the espresso machine. Accordingly the required temperature for the sinks is not maintained at all times. This is a key area of importance to consider when assessing compliance with health standards. Integration with the cart's power system is achieved using one of the

following:

 

- 2 x 15amp power leads;

- 1 x 25amp power lead; or

- 1 x 3phase power lead.

 

The power system also includes a built-in circuit breaker and each cart comes complete with its own electrical and wiring certification. We have been designing and manufacturing coffee carts now for over 17 years and in a number of cases our systems, health and safety standards have been used as a benchmark for mobile coffee carts.
